I wondered some months ago if the wet spring of 2014 was a forbearer to another summer drought, as the wet 2012 spring preceded the drought in the summer of that same year.

Mid July now, and with another 7 cm (2.7 in) of rain last night, I can only report that my earlier pondering on the future direction of local weather patterns was…. a deferred success (which is an example of the ridiculously convoluted manner in which far too many people talk/speak/write these days, just to avoid having to come out and say something as simple as “I got it wrong“).
