After many years of telling myself to do it, I finally took out my drill this year and made a few solitary bee hotels.

And I now I notice I have my first tenant. Some times, the most simple things in life are the most satisfying.

Solitary bees are unappreciated, but they make up most of the bee species. And they make up a significant number of the important pollinator bees that we so desparatly need. Building a solitary bee hotel is easy. The fact I took so long to build some myself is, quite frankly, deplorable. Do not make my mistake: make a solitary bee hotel today.
