We had freezing weather last night. It is nearly May, and this is the first time I have seen such low temperatures in our vineyard at this time of year. And we had some minor frost damage as a result. The most damage occurred on newly planted young vines and on mature Turán that were in the lower, flatter parts of the vineyards where cold air could collect and where the night breeze was least.

Not just the wine vines were affected. There was frost damage also on a young walnut tree.
