During the renovations on our house in Hungary, we replaced our windows. But I kept parts of the old windows with the idea to recycle them for “other uses”.
One common use of old windows is to use them as cold frames. Which I did do.

But most of our window frames were not suitable for cold frames, or were too degraded to bother keeping. But I did keep their glass.

And for some time I planned to use that glass to build bird feeders. Which this year I finally did.

I used a diamond glass cutter to cut the old window glass to size to fit the bird feeder and slipped them into the feeder.

I am very happy with the final result of this project.
