Pulled out a carrot recently, and it looked almost human. We have rocky, clay soils, so carrots do tend to fork here from time to time. But this one really looked…. almost human.

If you are surprised by the size of the carrot … I am not. I often get large carrots like this by using no dig methods. But the soil under the no dig compost is still what it is, with the rocks and clay, so yes, my carrots still may fork from time to time.

Side note: In case you were wondering, yes, it was delicious.
