This year I am growing my lettuce earlier and my tomato and eggplant later. So I am already pricking out lettuce, while still have not sown any tomatoes.
I have tried various lighting methods over the years. From simple window placement, to different artificial lights. But this is the first year I decided to try LED lights.
February all too often is really unpredictable. And when it gets nasty, it becomes a very cold month here. A real witch to deal with.
My leeks are nearly all harvested. But they are still producing even now in January. Despite the cold, and despite the snow.
It is January. It is cold. Temperature was -12°C (10°F) last night. And it has been snowing. The garden looks bleak.
November and December is a good time to add some more compost to no dig beds
When I finally found this monster in August, it was over 60 cm (24 in) long and weighed in at 5.4 kg (12 lbs).
